From its origins in the 19th century the co-operative movement has developed a global presence and reach. The movement has now entered a period of renewal and growth and this is an ideal time to reflect upon its development. The conference will explore turning points and explore the ways in which co-operative values have been central to the emergence of co-operative enterprises across the world.

Tony Webster of Liverpool John Moores University, in collaboration with the Co-operative College, Manchester, the Co-operative Heritage Trust, Edge Hill University, University of Central Lancashire and Leeds Metropolitan University
