Details

We are seeking contributors for several essays for a Brill Handbook of the Christian Tradition on Death and Remembrance in Europe 1300-1700. The essays will be 8,000-10,000 words. In particular we are looking for contributors on:

·         Funerary traditions in late medieval Christianity

·         Dying and death in the Catholic Reformation

·         Remembrance and memorials in Counter-Reformation Europe

·         The archaeology of late medieval and early modern cemeteries

·         Funeral sermons over time

·         Mourning and grief

·         The music of death and remembrance
