We invite proposals for the Lent term session of this year’s LSE-Sciences Po Seminar in Contemporary International History (HY510). The seminar welcomes presentations from faculty and PhD students at any institution on any aspect of contemporary international history broadly relating to the global Cold War. The seminar is an ideal environment to share work in progress, such as PhD chapters, journal articles, or sections of monographs or books and provides a forum for the discussion of new research by PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty members.

Seminars will be held in London on Wednesdays, 4-6pm, between January and March 2018.

Presenters will be asked to submit a 25-page paper ten days before their presentation, to be circulated to participants beforehand.  Presentations are typically 30-45 minutes.

Funding is available (travel cost only) for LSE staff and students to present papers at Sciences Po in Paris (language: English). Applicants from Sciences Po should submit their applications to Professor Mario Del Pero (mario.delpero@sciencespo.fr), rather than applying directly to the LSE.

Those interested in presenting are asked to submit a provisional title, a brief (one page maximum) abstract, and a CV to t.milani@lse.ac.uk by Friday 20 October 2017.

For further information contact us (t.milani@lse.ac.uk) or consult the webpage
