Details

The Gloriana Society is an organisation dedicated to Elizabethan-era research. The society began its formation in the spring and summer of 2015. The society is an initiative that brings together Elizabethan scholars and highlights current research within Elizabethan studies. We aim to focus on current, new and emerging trends within the field and also build a network of Elizabethan scholars and specialists within the United Kingdom and abroad. We look to partner with international organisations like the Queen Elizabeth I Society in the United States to build further connections.

The Gloriana Society are hosting their inaugural conference, In the Light of Gloriana, at the historic Tower of London on the 18-21 November 2016. The Board and Committee are currently seeking proposals/abstracts for presentations and panels for the conference. Deadline for submission of proposals/abstracts is 15 April 2016. For more information, please visit the Gloriana website: www.glorianasociety.org.

Registration will open in May 2016.

Membership with the society is currently free! Annual membership charges will begin in January 2017. All are welcome to join!
